Here's a pretty little evening bag for Friday. It's the Pink Lotus Bag from Anavogue at Anne of Loudounville. It's made from silk fabric and the centre is individually hand beaded, while the interior is lined in satin with a magnetic clasp closure. It costs £63 and would look beautiful with an evening dress in the height of summer.
I've got an ethical dilemma I need you to help me with. Is it acceptable for a woman to raid her daughter's piggy bank so she can buy herself a handbag for Mother's Day? Not normally, I think you'll agree, but what if the bag is this Putty Patent Mary from Lulu Guinness? I love Lulu Guinness, I love white bags, and my daughter loves me so I'm sure it will be okay. Do you think they'll let me pay the £225 price in two pence coins?
This is the kind of gym bag I imagine Paris Hilton uses (although she's probably got someone to carry it for her.) Look a that shiny gold colour! The alternative is to use it as a weekend bag, which I think I would do as it comes with quite a hefty £285 price tag. I wouldn't want to put my sweaty sports bra in that! It's the Quilted Gym Bag from Tabitha and it's 100% leather with two inside pockets.
I've found my favourite bag of the week and it's only Tuesday! This pretty fabric bag is from Me and My Accessories and is called the Multi Coloured Dreambag. It's perfect for taking to the beach or away for a long weekend and using for make-up and toiletries. And why is it my favourite bag of the week? It only costs £6!
I'm definitely in the market for a slouch bag this year, and this beauty from Graham and Green might just be the one for me. It's a Gold Thread Slouch Bag with a silver leather buckle and plaited handles. Inside the bag is gold lining and three pockets and it costs just £75.
I fell in love with this bag when I first saw it – patent and a wee bit ruffly, what’s not to like? But then I saw that it’s an eco-friendly faux patent bag, which obviously means it’s not leather. There’s nothing wrong with that, but look at the price – US$1195 for a piece of faux patent. It’s the Patent Pack Bag from Stella McCartney so you’re paying for the name, but I think I’ll save my money for something else.
There are shoppers and there are shoppers, and this is a shopper of the expensive type. Forget your £20 bag from a high street fashion store, this red leather beauty from Marni costs £665 from Brown’s and will blow those other shoppers out of the water.
I’m a big fan of Kate Sheridan’s designs but I don’t understand why this is called the Wolf Purse. I can’t see any wolves! No matter, it’s still pretty whatever it’s name and you can get one from Urban Outfitters for £14.

If you can’t decide what to buy me (there’s a lot of lovely stuff to choose from) then can I request this lovely Smythson Housekeeper’s Purse? It costs £295 and is made of red Viana calf leather. Admittedly, I’m not very good at keeping house but I am very good at owning purses, especially if they come from Smythson.
